Victor Newman has been played by Eric Braeden on “The Young and the Restless” for more than 40 years.
On Friday, Braeden revealed that he is receiving cancer treatment.
Although I’m a little under the weather, I’m not too sick. In a video that was posted on Facebook for 13 minutes, 82-year-old Braeden admitted that he works out, albeit in a limited capacity.
According to Braeden, a urologist’s examination of his bladder found several “high-grade” cancerous cells. He revealed that he had been having issues with his prostate while recuperating from knee surgery. The performer, who received an Emmy for his efforts, also appeared as John Jacob Astor IV in the motion picture “Titanic,” as well as in the 2018 heist thriller “Den of Thieves.” He has said that despite undergoing immunotherapy treatments for a total of six weeks, he was still able to continue acting on “Y&R.”
